I am in desperate need of a website. You are in desperate need of cookies, yes? I have some basic ideas in mind, but I am seeking someone with enough experience to be able to not only program my site but also assist in the brainstorming of the website layout, design, etc. I would also like help in designing a business card.

Now, I am poor, as is the vast majority of starting out artisans at the current time. So, I would like to propose a trade:

In exchange for your graphic design skill, I will bake you three dozen cookies of your preferred deliciousness (my favorites are chocolate chip and peanut butter, but I can make anything) every month, for one full year. I will also mail you a check for $10 (or a paypal payment of $10) USD every month for a year. That's 432 cookies and $120 for a website and business cards.

My deadline for this website is October 15th, as I have a craft fair on November 7th and I will need everything completely polished and printed by that time. By having the website done by October 15th, I have three weeks to work out any kinks and get my business cards printed.

I would prefer to work with someone available via MSN messenger to discuss ideas and give constant updates. In theory, I would love to have a designer willing to talk with me daily until we have the designs laid out, and then once every three days or so with progress updates.

It would also be great to find someone who is willing to be contacted bimonthly or so, in case I have any further updates I would like to add to the original design down the road (with fair compensation for every job beyond this project, naturally).

On October 15th I will be mailing the first batch of cookies and $10, and I will continue to mail the pastries and $10 payments on the 15th of every month until October 15th, 2010. Naturally, I will sign a contract with you to ensure we both get what we need.

Feel free to comment here or PM me with examples of your work. I hope to find someone for this project within the next few hours so that we have more time to get everything squared away.

NEWS:
3/31/09 - I'm back in Modesto, baby!

If you're reading this, many thanks for your time! This sale is for the purpose of raising money for my college tuition. I am a highly dedicated student with a current GPA of 4.0, and my school is very very important to me. I need to raise $895 for my June-October semester, the sooner I can pay this forward the better. I'm running a few sales to help me generate these funds.

How does this concern you? Well, if you like jewelry or know someone who does, then you have excellent reason to be reading this. I have a few special deals up for grabs. First of all, I am offering my stretchy bracelets which have been insanely popular in the past for $10 instead of $15.

Here is a picture of the beauties, the photo quality is something that I shall fix very soon. These bracelets are stretchy because the black rings that you see are actually a high quality rubber. This means no fiddling with a clasp, and it also means an even unisex width all the way around. (Don't you hate it when your bracelet twists around and the whole world gets to see the clasp instead of the shiny beautiful on your wrist? I do.) The non-rubber rings are anodized aluminum, and I currently have Bright (which is a silvery color) in stock, as well as Red, Orange, Yellow, Gold, Turquoise, Blue, Light Purple, Violet, Pink, Black, and Bronze available. This sale will continue up until May 15th.

Second, I am also offering an entirely new item; shiny earrings!

These earrings are very well explained in their description, which reads as follows:
"These light weight and shiny earrings are amazing. Their length is just long enough for elegance, or dress them down with jeans. These earrings are made with nickel free stainless steel earring hooks for sensitive ears, the dangling chain comes in just about any colors imaginable as the chain is made of enamelled (color coated) copper. The mobius ball dangling at the bottom can be made out of bright aluminum, copper, bronze, or brass, or any combination of these metals.

Pictured here from left to right is a black and white chain with copper mobius balls, a green chain with a bright aluminum ball, and a peach and silver chain with a bright aluminum mobius ball.

I make each pair of earrings custom to your needs. That means that yes, it does come in <x> color and <x> metal. Please note me and we will work out the perfect creation for what you have in mind!"

I will be selling these earrings for $10 a pair starting May 16th, but until then, these earrings are a mere $7.

Finally, my crowning piece, a one of a kind exclusive raffle necklace, pictured below.

I will be accepting raffle entries for this piece until April 21st at midnight. If I do not receive a bare minimum of 10 entries, I will have to refund all entries or extend the deadline. It is only $2 to get in on this raffle for this absolutely gorgeous jewel, and I am limiting entries to a maximum of 100 to keep it fair for all entries. Depending on interest, I may start a new raffle after the first one, but this necklace is impossible to replicate. It is truly one of a kind. Below I will keep track of the raffle entries.

I accept paypal only at the moment, sorry if this is inconvenient. Note me for my paypal info so that I can keep track more easily of the raffle!

NEWS:
3/31/09 - I'm back in Modesto, baby!

I just got contacted by my financial advisor, and if I can come up with $895 by May 1st, I can save a ridiculous amount on my student loans. I could pay this off in cash now, but then I will have absolutely no funds left over to learn driving, pitch in for food at home, or for my trip to Britain in two weeks. I really really really want to raise as much of the $895 as humanly possible in chain maille commissions, so I need some help from you guys!

On the 10th, I'm starting a few sales. I'll be selling very attractive earrings made out of a combination of copper, brass, bronze, and bright aluminum on allergy-free stainless steel hooks for $7 a pair (free shipping in the US), or $12 for the same style of earrings but in Sterling Silver and brass.

I'll also be selling my stretchy bracelets for $10 instead of $15.

I'm also considering opening a raffle for a necklace. $2 to enter, everyone can enter as many times as they like.

I'll be taking photographs of these items before the 10th, but I was wondering how many people would be interested in participating in this sale. I'll be putting up a poll for your opinions, and if you have ANY suggestions, PLEASE let me know. I really could use the extra funding and I am willing to consider any and all reasonable suggestions.

NEWS:
2/01/09 - Finished my DRAX entry, uploaded GIR.
1/05/09 - Website is up, just needs content!
11/22/08 - All of the bracelets are done!

Have you heard of Kiva? It's this website that allows you to give out loans to people in third world countries who are trying to start their own businesses. I found this and thought it was the coolest thing ever, because you can circulate the exact same loan money around over and over and over, or if you fall on hard times and need your money back, go ahead and withdraw it into your paypal account. I think it's freaking awesome, so if you have $25 you could go without for afew months, go ahead and send it on! Personally, I'm looking forward to getting an email 6 months from now saying "Oh hey by the way here's $150." XD By then it'll probably be a surprise.

The website is [link] and I must say, for some reason I now have Got Money (the Korn cover, not the Lil Wayne original) stuck in my head. XD

As far as artwork goes, I finally figured out exactly how much inventory I need for InCon in July. God willing I'll be able to (afford to) get all of my inventory done in time.
